According to experts the economy is doing well. However, I find that untrue. What about you? Have you found a job yet? Don't worry about it it's hit and miss for most people right now. So you have some talent? You know how to make flowered headpieces! That's great! So what do you want to do? This is an example of people in our real world. What I have noticed is people want to work be apart of the economy reap the benefits of a job well done. Automatically people gravitate towards applying for a job because that's what was formed into our psyche from day one. Throughout the years we have craftsman. I think life as a crafter is an underrated job compared to peoples views. I think people hold positions like doctor, lawyer, administrator positions, but not the crafter. In the past you had the blacksmiths, carpenters, cobblers, woodsmiths, and dressmakers. All are respectable position that require great skill and hours just to make your items as perfect as they can. I think society don't respect the craftsman. Yes you have marketplaces that cater to people selling handmade goods, but I really don't see people changing their shopping habits. In order for the economy to perform better you have to support you local businesses whether it's online or brick and mortar. If you can get 10 people to spend $10 a week on handmade items. If we can continue this trend for a year that's almost a million back into the local economy. Stop throwing your money away to factories who hire children for less that $.5. Be smart where you spend your money. Shop smart, shop small. Check out this handmade store
